Welcome to Saul Hay Gallery

Established in 2016, Saul Hay Gallery is a leading independent art destination tucked away in the beautiful, historic Castlefield area on Manchester city centre. We pride ourselves on creating a warm and inviting space where everyone—from seasoned collectors to curious newcomers—can enjoy a thoughtfully curated selection of works by both emerging and established artists.

With a "critical eye" for quality, we showcase exceptional contemporary art in our "hidden gem" of a gallery. We are dedicated to sharing our passion for the arts, ensuring that every visit is as informative as it is enjoyable.

We look forward to welcoming you to the gallery soon.

After almost 10 years at its historic Castlefield home, Saul Hay Gallery is preparing for a bold new chapter. The gallery will depart its current premises following a landmark final exhibition.

50 artists from Saul Hay’s past and present have been challenged to create a piece measuring just 10x10cm. In turn each artist has invited a new artist, one who has never shown at Saul Hay before, to join the show.

The exhibition boasts an impressive roster, including many gallery favourites who have been central to its journey, such as:

Jen Orpin, Mandy Payne, Steven Heaton, Deborah Grice, and Olga Geoghegan.

Joining them and showing at Saul Hay Gallery for the first time are 50 renowned artists, including:

Alison Friend, Ghislaine Howard, David Gledhill, Jude Wainwright, and Brendan Lyons.

Our final exhibition in our beautiful physical space is both a retrospective of established relationships and a celebration of new creative connections

"We went to the Survey exhibition preview and met Ian and the artists. Really enjoyed the exhibition and found chatting to the artists gave wonderful insight into their art. .....The friendly and relaxed atmosphere added to our evening. There is plenty of parking immediately outside the gallery and many good restaurants nearby."

"The Saul Hay Gallery is a lovely place to just browse, but when a work captures your eye and your imagination and lingers, giving it a home seems the least you can do.
We are grateful, as ever, to the Saul Hay Gallery, for their critical eye, their expertise and for creating such a gem of a Gallery.."
